CNPV representatives showed the delegation around and introduced the workshops, the solar modules and silicon ingots produced by CNPV itself in the Exhibition Hall.

CNPV representatives gave a detailed presentation on CNPV’s current operating situation such as CNPV’s history, development, the national “Golden Sun Project” and the international solar power market. They said, “We are very honored to have the delegation of Shandong-Taiwan Opto-electronics Industry visited our company. CNPV sells and markets its products in multiple countries, such as Spain, Germany, France, U.S, and South Korea, India through our distributors and representatives with an export ratio exceeding 90%. We are quite confident that the delegation will find this visit meaningful and worthwhile”.

Mr Xie aiguo, deputy head of Dongying district greatly appreciated CNPV’s rapid development for the past couple of years and expressed his fully support to the green renewable energy industry. He also expressed his will to enhance the communication and fully cooperation with Taiwan. He said, “Renewable energy industry is a hot issue under the current situation of energy shortage. We will fully support CNPV which is the biggest and the only listed solar power company in Shandong Province. Dongying is going through the industry construction transformation from the single petrochemical industry to multi-industry including petrochemical industry, petrochemical equipment industry and renewable energy industry”. He also attached great importance to the key role of technology for the sustainable economic development of Dongying and expressed his wish to seek for technological support across the strait.

The delegation also raised many questions about CNPV, for instance the usage of raw materials, manufacturing equipments, producing lines, personnel training and the operating situation under global economic crisis. They totally agreed that the solar power industry is environmentally-friendly and promising. Mr Qu xinsheng, deputy director of Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute, said, “We are greatly impressed by CNPV’s great achievement within the last three years. Solar power industry also enjoyed a boom in Taiwan. We are quite optimistic for the future soaring of PV industry and hope the institute can contribute certain efforts in facilitating further communication between CNPV and Taiwan PV companies”.
